Warranty details for coverage and claim clarity

This Warranty Policy describes the limited warranty applicable to products purchased from Direct2Lab.

If a Warranty Period is not specified in Direct2Lab’s Product documentation, published specifications, or package inserts, the Warranty Period for new instruments is twelve (12) months from the date of shipment to customers; and for all other Products is ninety (90) days from the date of shipment. 

During the Warranty Period, Direct2Lab agrees to repair or replace, at its option, defective Products so that they operate in substantial conformance with Direct2Lab’s published specifications.

To qualify for warranty service, the customer must:

(a) promptly notifies Direct2Lab in writing upon the discovery of any covered defect in the Products, including the Product model and serial number (if applicable) and details of the warranty claim; and

 (b) after Direct2Lab’s review, Direct2Lab will provide customer with an RGA number. Then, if applicable, customer may return the defective Products to Direct2Lab using the shipping instructions provided, with all return shipping costs prepaid by Direct2Lab. Replacement parts may be new or refurbished, at the election of Direct2Lab. 

All replaced parts shall become the property of Direct2Lab. Shipment to customer of repaired or replacement Products will be made in accordance with the Delivery clause of this Agreement. Except for new consumable items manufactured and sold by Direct2Lab, this warranty expressly excludes all other consumable parts or components (e.g., bulbs, belts, cartridges, etc.) in the Products. 

If Direct2Lab selects to repair defective instruments, Direct2Lab may, in its sole discretion, provide a replacement loaner instrument to customer as necessary for use while the instruments are being repaired.

This Limited Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for the Products and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Direct2Lab’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the purchase price of the Product. In no event shall Direct2Lab be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
